SEA LiFE Manchester have openings for both male and female Costume Character Hosts to fulfil a particular character support experience launch starting Monday, 11th May 2026 running through to Sunday, 14th June 2026.
This weekend only requirement would be right for performing arts students or performers who are in between auditions / work at present!
We are looking for zestful, guest orientated and creative individuals, who will be out on the front-line making our guests’ days fun and exciting!
You’ll be super-busy taking on and acting out the special characteristics of the individual costume characters, rotating every 30 mins.
Outside of the costume, you will be energetic and enthusiastic, guiding and instructing the large crowds the attraction will generate. Continuously enhancing our guests’ experience, driving guest satisfaction and helping to make magical memories!
These positions would be idea for those who have undertaken costume hosting before and possibly for long periods.
The character costumes that we have will only cater for a height of up to 170 cm and might not suit those who could feel claustrophobic under a seemingly restricted costume with limited a range of movement!
Experience and familiarity working in a customer facing environment

Excellent communication skills, with great presentation / stage presence abilities
Available to work weekends and bank holidays
Able to commit to working shifts from 11th May 2026 to 14th June 2026
