Here at the UK's Most Thrilling Theme Park, we're gearing up to celebrate 25 Years of Fear, as Fright Nights returns!  We are recruiting for First Aid Responders to join our team in delivering our award-winning theme park scare event! 

 

Our First Aid Responders are the first point of contact for staff and guest injuries and illnesses - and so you'll be ready to assist in emergency first aid situations, whilst upholding the highest standards of care.  The health and safety of our guests and employees is our number one priority, and so whether within our dedicated First Aid Centre or across the theme park, you'll ensure excellent standards whilst taking both a customer and employee focused approach to work.  Working alongside all departments, this is an exciting opportunity to join the Thorpe Park team!

 

What you'll be doing...

 

In this role, you will be will be responsible for ensuring the delivery of high-quality care and effective first aid to both staff and guests on a day-to-day basis.

 

  • Treating and assessing patients within your scope of practice alongside Thorpe Park policies and procedures.
  • Accurately completing all documentation relating to patients, equipment and near misses in accordance with policies and procedures, whilst ensuring patient confidentiality is always maintained.
  • Actively participate in personal and environmental cleaning routines to ensure infection prevention and control standards are adhered to, alongside completing regular Kit Checks and First Aid Centre Deep Cleans.
  • Conducting company medicals for Ride Operators in line with Occupational Health policies.
  • Achieve and maintain competence in all relevant skills and knowledge and actively strive to upkeep and grow your skillset, whilst also undertaking and completing all required in-house training and maintaining competency.
  • Maintaining a strong presence on park and performming any other duties that may reasonably be requested of you in line with your skills, training and qualifications.

 

Qualifications & Experience

  • All Candidates must hold a FREC3 qualification or above
  • Due to nature of the role and working hours, applicants must be 18 years old or over.
  • Successful applicants will have had experience of delivering First Aid to both adults and children, as well as experience of working effectively as part of a team.
  • Experience of working within theme park, events or pre-hospital environment is desired, along with experience in minor injuries and illnesses.

 

  • Excellent interpersonal skills and able to communicate effectively at all levels, along with the ability to deal with sensitive, unpredictable, and emotionally challenging and diverse clinical situations.
  • Physically able to meet the demands of a First Aid Responder.
  • Ability to deliver a high-quality patient experience and consistently ensure customer satisfaction, whilst remaining calm under pressure and in challenging situations.
  • The ability to work on your own initiative, as part of a team and under direction from your Line Manager.
  • Able to complete paperwork to exacting standards, and to prioritise your work schedule to make the best use of time and resources.
